Schubertchor currently has 25 members. Schubertchor has one set of brothers, four boys have had older brothers in the choir, three boys follow their dads. This year's choir members come from Vienna, Lower Austria Styria, and Carinthia; from Bosnia, England, Germany, Hungary, Japan, Romania, and Russia.
Schubertchor spent the previous season attending school, taking turns with the other choirs at performing Sunday Mass at the Imperial Chapel and singing at the Musikverein. The season's highlights included the traditional anniversary concert of the Chapel Imperial, a performance of Bach's Christmas Oratorio at the Konzerthaus in Vienna, and of course the New Year's Concert of the Vienna Philharmonic.
The boys are touring Japan until 9 July.

Franz Schubert
(1797 - 1828)
was a choir boy in the Chapel Imperial from 1805 to 1813; he was a protégé of Court Kapellmeister Antonio Salieri.
