Austrian-born Curt Faudon, a New Yorker by choice, has been making films since 1976; his vast output includes feature films, documentaries and commercials. In 2006, the Vienna Tourist Board commissioned him to portray Vienna in 18 short films, the Vienna Collection; one of these was about the Vienna Boys' Choir. The Vienna Collection was voted best commercial of 2007.
While filming the short clip with the choir, Curt - who particularly liked the choristers' quirkiness - came up with the idea for a full-length feature on the choir, an ingenious blend of feature, documentary and music video.
His next project is a feature film about the life of Ernest Hemingway.
